Simon Kirby MP congratulates Brighton & Hove Albion during Treasury Orals in Westminster

Simon Kirby, Member of Parliament for Brighton Kemptown & Peacehaven and Economic Secretary to the Treasury congratulated Brighton & Hove Albion when replying to a question by Maria Caulfield MP during Treasury orals today.

Simon was responding to a question put by the Lewes MP concerning economic growth in the South-East and started by asking the Speaker’s permission to congratulate Brighton & Hove Albion and their promotion to the Premier League.

Simon, a life-long fan of the Albion was at the match on Easter Monday and said,

“Monday was an absolutely fantastic day. We have three games to go and it would be great to actually go on and win the Championship but we have done what we needed to do and we are in the Premier League.

This is such great news for the club, for the fans and for Brighton and Hove and I was proud to mention our fantastic Club and City during Treasury Orals today.”
