Simon Kirby, the Member of Parliament for Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven, has welcomed the news that the Skills Funding Agency will now continue to fund the IQL Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding, Intervention, Supervision and Rescue at the Brighton Swimming Centre.

Simon Kirby, the Member of Parliament for Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven, is calling on Brighton and Hove Buses to increase the regularity of the number 48 bus service between Lower Bevendean and Brighton Train Station. Brighton and Hove Buses have recently announced their winter timetable but have not increased the number of buses on the 48 route.

Simon Kirby, MP for Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven has written to Defence Secretary, Michael Fallon MP, asking the Secretary of State to consider publicly funding a statue for the late World War One veteran and Ovingdean resident, Henry Allingham. Mr Kirby’s call comes as the World approaches the anniversary of the start of World War One.

Simon Kirby, MP for Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven, has welcomed new figures released today in Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven the number of unemployed receiving Job Seekers Allowance has fallen by 971 or by 40% since the last election to 3.1% which is below the national average of 3.3%. Youth unemployment has also fallen by 50% in the same period.
