To mark World AIDS Day on December 1st, and to raise money for the Sussex Beacon, a fantastic local HIV/AIDS charity, Simon Kirby, the Member of Parliament for Brighton Kemptown and vice chair of the parliamentary group on HIV/AIDS, is auctioning a copy of the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act 2013 signed by the three main party leaders, David Cameron, Ed Miliband, and Nick Clegg.

The 2014 Lloyds Bank Community Fund is helping local people in Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven to have a positive impact at the heart of their communities by giving grants of between £500 and £3,000 to good causes. Voting for the 2014 campaign has now ended, and each local good cause across the country has now discovered the award they will receive following nearly 1.5 million votes being cast.

Simon Kirby, the Member of Parliament for Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven, is urging constituents to vote for the Saltdean Lido in The People’s Millions competition that is taking place this Monday (24th November). If the Saltdean Lido receives more votes than their competition, they will receive £49,500 worth of funding.

Simon Kirby, MP for Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven, has welcomed new figures released today which revealed that in Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven the number of unemployed receiving Job Seekers Allowance has fallen by 1256 claimants since the last election. This represents a fall of 47% since 2010. Youth unemployment has also fallen by 52% in the same period.

Simon Kirby, the MP for Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven, has welcomed new figures released showing that 900 businesses in his constituency are benefitting from the Government’s Employment Allowance since its introduction in April, making it easier for businesses to hire staff and create jobs.
